RESEARCH ACTIVITIES:

Study Titled “CT Scan evaluation of TMJ Arthritis in       Localized Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis”is carried out as a part of MDS Curriculum. In this study 25 cases of Localized Osteoarthritis of TMJ & 5 cases of Rheumatoid Arthritis of TMJ were selected & subjected to CT scan. CT Scans obtained were studied in detailed for arthritic changes like Flattening, Sclerosis, Erosion & Osteophyte & further conclusion are drawn.

This complete study was carried out under the guidance of Dr. H. R. Umarji, Prof & Head, Dept. Oral Medicine & Radiology, Govt. Dental College, Mumbai & Dr. Sunita Jaggi, Asso. Prof, Dept of Ct & MRI, JJ Group of Hospital, Mumbai.

Study  titled “Distribution of signs and symptoms of Temperomandibular Joint Dissorder” in adults and its association with dentition status in 300 patient in our OMDR DEPT by PG student under my guidance.

Study  titled “Treatment of myofacial pain patients using short wave diathermy and full coverage occlusal splint therapy-A comparative study”  in 30 patient in our OMDR DEPT by PG student under my guidance.

Academic achievements

1. Currently working as Prof., HOD & PG guide at Vasantdada Patil Dental College And Hospital, Kavalapur , Sangli.
